Pipedrive Review (2026)
A sales-first CRM built around a pipeline you can actually read. We ran a small team on Pipedrive for three weeks. Here is where it shines, where it frustrates, and who should buy it.
The verdict in one line: if you want a CRM your team will actually keep updated, Pipedrive is the easiest one to live in day to day, and the fastest to get value from.
What we liked, what we didn’t
Pros
- The clearest visual pipeline we tested, drag a deal and move on
- Fast, guided setup, we were selling the same afternoon
- Solid automation once you reach the Advanced tier
- Clean mobile app that mirrors the desktop flow
- Fair, transparent per-seat pricing
Cons
- No permanent free plan, only a 14-day trial
- Email marketing and web forms cost extra as add-ons
- Reporting is good, not deep enough for data-heavy teams
- Phone support is reserved for higher tiers

What it’s like to actually use
Pipedrive opens on your pipeline, and that single choice shapes the whole experience. Every deal is a card in a column, and moving a deal forward is a drag to the right. It sounds small, but it means your team sees the state of the business in one glance instead of digging through lists.
Setup and onboarding
Onboarding is a short wizard: name your stages, import contacts from a CSV, connect your email. We were adding real deals within about fifteen minutes. Nothing about it required a manual.
Day-to-day workflow
The daily loop is fast. Activities (calls, emails, tasks) attach to deals, and Pipedrive nudges you when a deal has gone quiet. That gentle prompting is the feature that quietly keeps a pipeline honest.
Automation and reporting
On the Advanced tier and up, automation handles the repetitive parts: create a follow-up task when a deal moves stages, send a templated email, assign an owner. Reporting covers the essentials well, though teams that live in dashboards may want something deeper.
Who should skip it: if you need a free forever plan or built-in marketing automation, look at HubSpot instead. If you want the lowest possible price with deep features, Zoho is the better value.
