Black Friday Hosting Deals 2026: How to Spot the Best VPS Deals

J By Jaydeb Barman Updated October 28, 2026 12 min read

Black Friday 2026 falls on November 27 and Cyber Monday on November 30, but hosting sales start well before that. The best VPS deals are not the ones with the biggest percentage badge. They are the ones whose renewal price, billing term and refund terms still make sense a year or two later. This guide shows you how to judge a Black Friday hosting deal before you prepay for one.

Many hosts had not published 2026 Black Friday offers when this guide was written in late October 2026, so this is a buyer’s guide rather than a list of discounts. We use real examples from vendor pages we read in October 2026 to show how these offers are built, and we keep a tracker below that we will update as hosts announce verified offers.

Codixology built this guide from hosts’ published sale pages, pricing pages and terms and the pages that already rank for this topic, not from any single vendor’s marketing. Codixology’s rankings are never paid for.

Black Friday 2026 Dates and When Hosting Deals Appear

Date What happens
October to mid-November Early sales. Hostinger’s Black Friday page says its 2026 sale runs from October 19 to December 14, 2026, and Bluehost’s multi-product discount, which its Black Friday post covers, runs from October 1 to November 30, 2026. Small hosts often post “early Black Friday” threads on forums such as LowEndTalk.
Thursday, November 26 US Thanksgiving, the day before Black Friday.
Friday, November 27 Black Friday 2026.
Monday, November 30 Cyber Monday 2026.
December Some sales run past Cyber Monday. Hostinger’s runs to December 14.

Two patterns stand out. First, some sales stretch over weeks, so you may not need to buy in a single 24-hour window. Second, some hosts tell you to watch their channels: OVHcloud’s 2025 Black Friday page told customers to follow it on social media and watch for sale emails, and warned that some stock was limited.

Types of Black Friday Web Hosting Offers

Hosts use a handful of offer types. Each has its own fine print.

Offer type What it looks like What to check
Percent off the first term “80% off web hosting” What the “before” price is, and the renewal price
Low intro VPS price A monthly VPS price that needs a 12- to 48-month prepayment Total upfront cost and the renewal rate
Yearly VPS deals A price per year instead of per month, common on forum offer boards Whether it renews at the same price, and the host’s track record
Free setup or a rental discount Common on dedicated servers; OVHcloud’s 2025 page cited “free setup or a discount on your rental” The normal setup fee and the contract length
Freebies A free domain for the first year, free email, a free month What the freebie costs to renew
Account credit or top-up bonus Extra credit when you add funds Whether credit expires and whether it is refundable
Multi-product discount A bigger percentage the more products you buy in one order Whether you need every product; Bluehost’s 2026 version applies to the first 12-month term only
Extra coupon codes An “extra X% off” code from a coupon or deal site Whether the host honors it and whether it stacks: Bluehost’s offer cannot be combined with other offers, and Hostinger says its main deals need no coupon
Limited stock “While stock lasts” on specific servers Whether the hardware fits your needs, not just the price

How to Judge the Best VPS Deals

Intro price vs renewal price

This is the biggest trap. Many hosting discounts apply to the first term only. Hostinger’s 2026 Black Friday FAQ says so directly: “The Black Friday price applies to your initial subscription term,” and renewal pricing is shown before checkout. Bluehost’s 2026 offer terms say the same: the discount covers the first 12-month term, and plans renew at the then-current regular rate.

Here is how that plays out with numbers read on Hostinger’s pages in October 2026. The Black Friday page shows VPS hosting “from $19.49” crossed out to “$6.49/month (67% off)”. The VPS pricing page shows the KVM 1 plan at $6.49 a month on a 24-month term ($155.76 upfront), renewing at $11.99 a month. So the discount is measured from $19.49, but the price you renew at is $11.99.

Over four years, that works out to $155.76 for the first two years plus about $287.76 for the next two at $11.99 a month: about $443.52 in total, or roughly $9.24 a month. That can still be good value. It is just not $6.49 a month.

Billing term lock-in

Many of the lowest prices require you to prepay one to four years. That locks you in even if your needs change or the host disappoints you. Before you commit, compare the monthly price with no commitment and ask whether you will still want this server in two years. Our guide to annual vs monthly software billing walks through the trade-off.

Money-back and refund terms

Refund windows vary a lot, and sale plans are not always covered. Some examples from pages read in October 2026:

  • Hostinger says eligible Black Friday plans carry a 30-day money-back guarantee, with terms and exclusions.
  • NYC Servers offers a 14-day refund on VPS services, but dedicated server orders are not refundable.
  • ForexVPS.net offers a 14-day money-back guarantee on VPS purchases, not dedicated servers.
  • Kamatera’s terms say fees are non-refundable unless otherwise noted, and it offers a 30-day free trial instead.

The lesson: check the refund terms for the exact product you are buying, especially dedicated servers.

What is excluded

Read what the deal does not include. Common exclusions are domain renewals after the first year, backups, control panel licenses, Windows licenses, extra IP addresses and setup fees. On a VPS, add-ons can cost more than the server; Kamatera, for example, lists cPanel licenses from $35 per server per month.

Whether the “sale” price beats the everyday price

Hosts discount all year. OVHcloud’s Black Friday page itself notes “regular offers on VPS and dedicated servers” and promises offers during “many other sales periods throughout the rest of the year.” Check the price a few weeks before the sale so you know whether the Black Friday number is a real drop.

Black Friday Dedicated Server Deals: What Is Different

Dedicated servers (a whole physical machine rented to you) follow slightly different rules on Black Friday.

  • Stock is limited. Discounted dedicated servers are often specific hardware in specific data centers. OVHcloud advised defining your technical requirements beforehand for this reason.
  • Setup fees matter. A “free setup” offer is only valuable if the host normally charges one. Ask what it would cost outside the sale.
  • Refunds are rarer. As the examples above show, some hosts exclude dedicated servers from refund windows.
  • Contracts are longer. Check the minimum term and the renewal rate before you order.

How to Choose a Black Friday Hosting Deal

  1. Start with what you need. Shared hosting for a simple site, a VPS for apps or more control, a dedicated server for heavy workloads. A great deal on the wrong product is still the wrong product.
  2. Shortlist hosts before the sale. Use our guides to the best VPS hosting and cheapest VPS hosting worth using to pick two or three.
  3. Write down today’s prices. Note the monthly, annual and renewal price for the plan you want.
  4. Calculate the total cost over your expected lifetime. Include renewals, add-ons and taxes.
  5. Check the refund terms for that exact product.
  6. Buy the term you are comfortable losing. If you are unsure, a shorter term at a slightly higher price is often the safer deal.

Black Friday Hosting Deal Checklist

Run through this list before you click buy:

  • [ ] I know the renewal price, not just the intro price.
  • [ ] I know how many months I am prepaying and the total charged today.
  • [ ] I have compared the sale price with the price a few weeks earlier.
  • [ ] I know the refund window, and that it covers this plan.
  • [ ] I know which freebies expire after the first year.
  • [ ] I have added the cost of backups, licenses and any setup fee.
  • [ ] The specs (CPU, RAM, storage, bandwidth) fit my real needs.
  • [ ] The data center location suits my users.
  • [ ] I have read recent independent reviews of the host, not just its sale page.

2026 Deals Tracker

We will add verified 2026 offers here as hosts announce them. Each entry will be checked on the host’s own page and dated.

Host Offer (as published) Sale dates Renewal price Refund terms Last verified
Hostinger Sale page lists VPS hosting “from $19.49” to “$6.49/month (67% off)”; web hosting from $12.19 to $2.49/month (80% off). Discount applies to the first term. October 19 to December 14, 2026 KVM 1 renews at $11.99/month (VPS pricing page) 30-day money-back on eligible plans October 28, 2026
Bluehost (offer terms, VPS post) “Buy More, Save More”: 15% off one eligible product, 20% off two, 25% off three or more in one order. Bluehost’s Black Friday post lists Self-Managed VPS, Managed VPS, VDS (virtual dedicated server) and Dedicated Hosting as eligible. First 12-month term only, billed upfront; applied at checkout; new purchases only; cannot be combined with other offers. October 1 to November 30, 2026 (11:59 p.m. ET) Renews at the then-current regular rate; 12-month VPS prices not shown on the VPS page 30-day full refund on hosting, most add-ons such as domains excluded; for Self-Managed VPS, non-monthly terms paid by credit card October 28, 2026

A Practical Example: Comparing Two VPS Deals

Consider a hypothetical small business choosing between two made-up Black Friday VPS offers for the same specs.

  • Deal A: $4 a month, but you must prepay 36 months, and it renews at $12 a month. The charge today is $144.
  • Deal B: $7 a month, billed monthly, no lock-in, same price on renewal.

If the business keeps the server for three years, Deal A costs $144 and Deal B costs $252, so Deal A wins. If the business outgrows the plan or moves hosts after one year, Deal A has still cost $144, while Deal B has cost $84. And if it stays for five years, Deal A costs $144 plus $288 (two years at $12), or $432, against $420 for Deal B.

The “cheaper” deal depends entirely on how long you stay. Run your own numbers the same way.

Common Mistakes With Black Friday Hosting Deals

  1. Judging the deal by the percentage. The “before” price is often not the price you would renew at.
  2. Ignoring the renewal rate. Your second term can cost nearly double the first.
  3. Prepaying four years to save a few dollars a month. You lose flexibility if the host disappoints you.
  4. Assuming every plan has a refund window. Dedicated servers and add-ons are often excluded.
  5. Buying specs you do not need. A big server at a discount still costs more than the right-sized one.
  6. Forgetting add-ons. Backups, licenses and control panels can change the math.
  7. Panic-buying in the last hour. Many sales run for weeks; take the time to compare.

Are Black Friday hosting deals worth it? +

They can be, if the renewal price, term length and refund terms suit you. Calculate the total cost over the time you expect to stay, not just the first term.

Do Black Friday hosting prices renew at the same rate? +

Often not. Many discounts cover the first term only. Hostinger, for example, states its Black Friday price applies to the initial subscription term.

Can existing customers get Black Friday hosting deals? +

Sometimes. Hostinger says existing customers may get separate upgrade and cross-sell offers, while Bluehost’s 2026 multi-product discount covers new purchases only. Check your account dashboard and email during the sale.

Do dedicated servers go on sale for Black Friday? +

Yes. OVHcloud’s 2025 Black Friday covered Bare Metal dedicated servers and VPS, with offers such as free setup or a rental discount. Stock is often limited.

Can I get a refund on a Black Friday hosting plan? +

It depends on the host and product. Hostinger offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on eligible plans, while some hosts exclude dedicated servers from refunds. Read the terms for the exact plan.

The Bottom Line

The best Black Friday hosting deals in 2026 will be the ones that still look good at renewal. Ignore the percentage badge, calculate the total cost over the time you expect to stay, check the refund terms for the exact plan and add the cost of anything excluded.

Shortlist hosts now, note today’s prices, and use the checklist above when the sales arrive. We will add verified 2026 offers to the tracker as hosts announce them.
