Dentee Software Review (2026): Features, Pricing and Who It Suits

Dentee software is a dental clinic management and patient-booking platform from Mumbai, India. It combines practice tools (appointments, patient records, billing and reminders) with a patient-facing directory, an education feed and a dental supplies marketplace. The developer named on its Google Play app is ecgPlus Technologies Private Limited, and G2 lists Dentee as serving customers since 2012.
The short version: Dentee is built for Indian dental clinics, every source positions it at the budget end, and very little about it is published in detail. There is no public pricing page we could access, review counts are tiny, and the directories that list it disagree on basics. If you run a small clinic in India, it may be worth a free trial. If you practice elsewhere, it is probably not built for you.
Codixology built this review from Dentee’s own website and app listing, the software directories that rank for “dentee software” and the third-party reviews published there. We have not used Dentee hands-on.

What Dentee Software Does
Dentee works on two sides. For patients, the Dentee website lets people find a nearby dentist by city or zip code, see real-time availability and book online from any internet-connected device. For clinics, Dentee offers practice management tools to run the front desk and clinical records from one system.
The vendor calls Dentee a “one stop solution for all the dental needs” and says it was built by engineers from Indian institutes such as the IITs and RECs, working with business specialists and dentists. We could not verify that claim. In practice, Dentee looks like a practice management system (PMS, the software that runs scheduling, patient files, billing and reports) for small Indian clinics, with a patient directory on top.
Key Features of Dentee Dental Software
Dentee’s Google Play listing and directory profiles group the product into four modules:
- Dentee Manage: patient records, online appointments, reminders, dental calendars, workflows, treatment plans and EMR (electronic medical record) management. YourStory’s profile adds automated backups and billing statements.
- Dentee Discover: a professional profile on Dentee’s patient directory, so patients searching by location can find and book the clinic.
- Dentee Educate: dental industry news, events, trade fairs, courses and certifications.
- Dentee Buy: a marketplace for dental materials and equipment, with offers and delivery.
Capterra lists appointment management, charting, client management, confirmations and reminders, imaging and X-rays, medical billing, patient records and treatment planning.
What is not published matters as much. We found no documentation on integrations, multi-location management, user permissions or data export formats. One directory, SoftwareFinder, states that Dentee has no API access (an API is the connection point other software uses to exchange data). Ask the vendor about anything you rely on.
Dentee Pricing
Dentee does not publish prices on its website, and its pricing page could not be fetched during our research. Capterra describes the pricing as a flat-rate yearly subscription with a free trial, and every source we read positions Dentee at the budget end of the market.
The directories disagree on a free plan. Capterra says there is no free version, while AlternativeTo lists Dentee as freemium with a limited free version. Dentee Reviews: What Third-Party Sites Show
Review volume is very low. Here is what we read in October 2026:
- Capterra (page updated October 19, 2026): 4.5 out of 5 from 2 reviews. One, from September 2022, praises the low cost and notes that WhatsApp integration for patient messages was missing. The other, from May 2016, calls the software intuitive and made for dentists.
- G2: a seller profile with 0 reviews.
- Google Play (“Dentee – For Doctors”): 10K+ downloads and about 4.1 to 4.2 stars from roughly 180 ratings. The app was last updated July 25, 2025.
Two reviews from 2016 and 2022 cannot tell you how the product works in 2026. See our guide on how to spot fake software reviews for how to weigh thin review profiles.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Built for India: Capterra India lists India as its only market, the developer’s address is in Mumbai and its support numbers are Indian (+91).
- Budget positioning: every directory frames it as low-cost.
- Patient discovery included: the directory listing and online booking give a small clinic a basic online presence.
- Android app for dentists, with 10K+ downloads.
- Declared data practices: the Google Play data safety section says data is not shared with third parties, is encrypted in transit and can be deleted on request (developer declarations).
Cons
- Little published detail: no public pricing, feature documentation or help center we could access.
- Tiny review base: two Capterra reviews, the newest from 2022.
- Conflicting directory data on free plans, support channels and pricing.
- iOS app unclear: Capterra lists iPhone/iPad, but we could not locate a current Dentee app on Apple’s App Store.
- No published integrations, and one directory says there is no API.
Who Dentee Suits and Who Should Look Elsewhere
Dentee fits a solo dentist or small clinic in India moving from paper or spreadsheets to digital appointments, records and reminders, especially one that also wants a patient-facing listing. It makes most sense when needs are simple: one location, a few chairs and staff comfortable on a phone or browser.
Clinics outside India should look elsewhere, since nothing we found shows support for other currencies, tax rules or insurance systems. US practices that depend on insurance claims and imaging integrations should read our Dentrix vs Eaglesoft vs Open Dental comparison. Practices in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Canada can start with our Dentally review. Multi-location groups that need documented exports and integrations should favor better-documented vendors.
Dentee Alternatives
Capterra lists Curve Dental, Dentrix Ascend, Dental Intelligence, iDentalSoft and ThriveCloud as alternatives. Most are built for North America, so an Indian clinic should check local billing, support hours and data storage location before comparing. What to Check Before You Buy Dentee
- Get a written quote with the plan name, yearly price, users included and renewal price.
- Run the free trial on real tasks: a week of appointments, treatment plans and reminders with test patients.
- Confirm reminder channels (SMS, email, WhatsApp or app) and their cost.
- Confirm data export: how you get patient records and X-rays out if you leave, and in what format.
- Ask about backups and storage: how often backups run and where data is stored.
- Test the app on staff phones, including iPhones if anyone uses one.
A Practical Example: A Two-Chair Clinic in Pune
Consider a hypothetical two-chair clinic in Pune run by one dentist and one receptionist. Appointments live in a paper diary, patient histories sit in folders, and missed appointments are common because nobody has time to call patients the day before.
Dentee’s pitch fits: digital appointments, records, reminders and a directory listing for new patients. The dentist would run the free trial for two weeks with a handful of consented patient files and check that reminders reach patients on the channel they use. Before paying, the dentist would get a written yearly quote and a clear answer on data export. If the vendor cannot answer the export question, that is a reason to keep looking.
Common Mistakes When Choosing Dental Clinic Software
- Trusting a rating with two reviews. A 4.5 from two reviews, years apart, is not evidence of quality.
- Skipping the export question. Know how you get patient data out before you put it in.
- Assuming directory data is current. Capterra, AlternativeTo and SoftwareFinder disagree about Dentee.
- Ignoring the reminder channel. Reminders only cut no-shows if patients read them.
- Buying on price alone. A low fee is only a deal if the system covers your daily workflow.

The Bottom Line
Dentee software is a budget-friendly, India-focused platform that pairs clinic management with patient discovery, and it has been around since 2012. For a small Indian clinic moving off paper, it is a reasonable candidate for a free trial.
The weak points are transparency and evidence: no public pricing, very few reviews and conflicting directory data. Get pricing, export terms and app support in writing, and compare it against at least two better-documented options.
